Autumn Wreath Making and Wiring Techniques Workshop

We welcome you to this workshop to find space and inspiration to create your own meaningful expressions of the nature around us.

In the first morning session, we shall explore wiring techniques, buttonhole design and construction. This shall be followed by a planning and design session, where you can start to practice traditional wreath making techniques.

The afternoon shall be dedicated to creating an autumnal wreath from scratch, celebrating the recent change in season.

A tasty lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be provided by The Isthmus.

Timetable for the day:

9.30-10.00 Welcome and Intro
10.00-11.30 Walk (with a little grounding exercise)
11.30-12:30 Wiring Techniques and Buttonhole making
12:30 – 1.30 Wreath making techniques, design principles and planning
1.30-2.15 Lunch
2.15-4.15 Wreath Making
4.15-5 Time to photograph your work, questions and goodbyes

About Jenny Mugford

Jenny Mugford at The Tarbert

Flowermug is run and owned by Jenny Mugford, a florist and flower grower based in South Ayrshire.  Her floristry celebrates the changing seasons and surrounding landscapes of each occasion or assignment, taking a detailed, unhurried approach to every aspect of work, from the seed sowing to designing process. Jenny set up Flowermug around 4 years ago, and started to grow cut flowers for the past couple of years.

Weekend experience – two options available:

£140/person (sharing a camping pod with 2 others)
£170/person in a camping pod alone (limited availability)
Arrival on Saturday morning, overnight stay in the wooden camping pods
Saturday: breakfast + workshop (includes lunch)
On Saturday supper (not included) is available at The Isthmus or at a local restaurant.
Sunday: breakfast and departure

2 night stay – Fri 29th Sept to Sun 1st Oct 2017
£190/person (sharing a camping pod with 2 others)
£240/person in a camping pod alone (limited availability)
Friday: arrival, supper at The Isthmus Bistro Pizzeria and stay in the wooden camping pods
Saturday: breakfast + workshop (includes lunch)
On Saturday supper (not included) is available at The Isthmus or at a local restaurant.
Sunday: breakfast and departure
